TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from a single account. Many pick one platform. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set once it is live.

Costs

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.

Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. The broker is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not make it safe. But be part of how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you deposit.
